Accuracy matters, and published information can change.
GearInsightWorks aims to keep material information accurate, useful, and current. When we identify a meaningful error or important outdated information, our goal is to review and correct it.
Some information changes faster than others.
Product specifications, prices, fees, availability, warranties, policies, eligibility, service conditions, route rules, booking terms, and merchant offerings may change after an article is published.
A statement that was accurate when published may therefore become outdated without having been incorrect at the time.
When those changes materially affect the reader’s decision, we may update the relevant content.
Factual errors
Incorrect specifications, figures, policies, requirements, fees, or other material factual statements.
Outdated information
Facts that were accurate when published but have since materially changed.
Broken or superseded sources
Important references that moved, disappeared, or were replaced by newer official documentation.
Material omissions
Missing information that significantly changes how a reader should understand the decision.
Product, service, or policy changes
New versions, discontinued products, revised fees, changed terms, new eligibility rules, or policy updates.
Editorial clarity
Sections may be revised when clearer wording materially improves usefulness or reduces ambiguity.
Material corrections matter more than cosmetic changes.
We focus most heavily on updates that affect accuracy, financial decisions, eligibility, suitability, safety, route feasibility, ownership costs, booking conditions, or another meaningful part of the decision.
New information should be checked before replacing existing factual claims.
A changed fact may require more than replacing a single number or sentence.
Recommendations or conclusions may also need revision if the underlying facts changed.
Some articles may display a verification or update date.
A date indicates when material information was last reviewed or verified according to the editorial workflow used for that article.
It does not guarantee that every external price, merchant term, product, route, policy, or availability condition remained unchanged after that date.
